The study programme is built in such a way that the student is introduced to both traditional and more experimental techniques and software during the first three semesters (cartoon, 2D-drawing, stop-motion, Flash, AfterEffects, Maya), after which there will be an opportunity to specialise in one or more of these in the fourth semester. The final year of studies is spent making an examination production, which will often be an animated short film.
Philosophy
Our major goal is to give the students the practical and theoretical education they need to work professionally with animation in such diverse fields as television news, public relations, advertising and entertainment; as well as enabling them to use animation for personal, artistic expression.
