Vilnius College of Technologies and Design is a State institution of professional higher education.
At present the College consists of 4 faculties: Faculty of Construction, Faculty of Design, Petras Vileisis Faculty of Railway Transport and Faculty of Technical Sciences. There study around 4000 students and over 400 teaching and other staff work there.
The College prepares well-qualified specialists who will be able to work successfully in Lithuanian and European Union companies. The strategy of Lifelong Learning and constantly renewed studying attitudes has been fixed. The quality of preparation of specialists is permanently improved with the assurance of competitiveness in the labour market. 
The College participates in international projects, co-operates with social partners in Lithuania and similar higher educational institutions abroad.
The College is a member of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) and the European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASCHE).

Degree category / length of studies
In 2002 the school obtained the status of a non-university higher education institution and became Vilnius College of Technologies and Design.
Length of studies: 3 years.

Programme description
The study programme covers all necessary aspects of animation, so that following graduation students can work as fully-fledged animators in Lithuania and abroad.
Structure, pace and rhythm are important elements that are explored during the course. Additionally, character development, animation skill and timing remain crucial. Construction of images and compositing of elements from many sources including drawings, photos, video and digital media is encouraged and supported. There are opportunities to combine new and traditional forms of animation, to create exciting and original methods of image making, script and calligraphy.
We have two specializations: Animation and Interactive Communication Technology. Students of Interactive Design study animation course, 2D animation, 3D animation, animation technology, film directing, photo-cinema creation, animation and cinema history, advertising, design, drawing etc.
Besides artistic education, students gain a comprehensive knowledge of art history, art theory and philosophy, animation and cinema history, design, editing, directing.
Main Subjects: animation basics course, storyboarding, 2D animation, visual animation, animation technology, composite imaging, directing, drawing and anatomy, history of animation, basics of composition, visual communication, 3D modeling and animation, film language, project documentation, multimedia, animation software.
